Céline Beran was born in Texas, USA, to Czech and Indian parents and grew up in Zurich, Switzerland. She was brought up multilingual in German, Swiss German, English, French and Bengali, and she is fluent in Italian.
At first, she trained as a dancer (incl. at the Zurich Dance Academy & Trinity Laban Conservatory, London), during which she performed at the Youth America Grand Prix Finals in New York and at Tanzolymp Berlin. Later, while graduating from the University of Zurich with a B.Sc. in Biology, she gained her first experience as an actress on stage with Lubosch Held at Theater Keller62 in Zurich. In 2010, she attended David Kagen's School of Film Acting, Los Angeles. Her teachers were among others Brett Rickaby, Mark Arnold and David Kagen. She went on to train at Drama Studio London, graduating in 2013, and has since been working in theatre, film and television productions internationally.
